Our History

"...that in all things He may have the preeminence"

Colossians 1:18

The assembly began in 1994.  Initial meetings were held at a realtor’s building and at the La Quinta Inn conference room in Lewisville, Texas.  George P. John and John Ferris served as elders.  In 1996, the assembly bought the current property on Edmonds Lane and a meeting hall was constructed in December of 1998.  As the Lord added more families over the years, the current auditorium was constructed in 2013.

The Gospel has gone out in various ways over the years, through gospel meetings, tract distributions, evangelism at various locations, and VBS – just to name some examples.  Over the years, many, including the youth have gone on short term mission trips to various parts of the world.  Currently, there are 2 commended workers and 2 commended missionaries.  Missionaries and evangelists have also visited us from all over the world.

All financial distributions for missionaries and other gifts are done by the elders and those decisions are approved in the annual corporate meeting. The 3rd Sunday offering of every month is dedicated exclusively for missionaries.

All financial contributions made to the chapel are tax exempt from the IRS, since we are registered as a non-profit corporation under section 501(3) C of the IRS code.
